Value Assessment

In order to determine the optimal transition strategy and plan, a thorough valuation is required. At EdgePoint, we believe this is a critical part of the engagement process and therefore require a thorough evaluation to be completed prior to committing our time to your transition needs. This diligence and commitment to excellence helps ensure that we continue our track record of closing over 90% of the transactions that we engage.

Our Value Assessment services are often performed on a complimentary basis to business owners. Please contact us today to determine if you and your company are eligible for a complimentary valuation. Of course, our valuations and related conversations are kept in the strictest confidence.

The valuation process requires a small amount of the owner’s time to gather information. The following basic financial information is requested:

  • 3 years of historical financials

  • Most recent interim financials

  • Projected forecasts or budgets

  • “Add back” assessment (discretionary or non-recurring expenses, etc.)

  • Historic and projected capital expenditures

  • Various facilitated discussions with EdgePoint professionals

  • Written business or strategic plan (if available)
